That long awaited day has finally arrived and it’s time to say hello to your little bundle of joy. There are probably lots of things you’ve already taken into consideration and maybe even prepared for the arrival of your baby. However, with everything that is going on, you may find our tips and helpful hospital bag checklist very handy.
It’s a good idea to have your hospital bag ready by week 30 of your pregnancy just in case baby decides to meet mummy a little sooner than expected. The below list will give you a good idea of the things you will need for yourself and your baby during your hospital stay.
Your Bag:
- Ante-natal card (blue card)
- Medicines/vitamins you take during pregnancy
- 4 pyjamas or night dresses with front fastening
- Dressing gown
- Slippers and socks
- Nursing bras
- Panties (cotton/net/disposable)
- Maternity pads
- Breast pads
- Face cloth/sponge
- Towels
- Shampoo and shower gel
- Deodorant
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Brush and comb
- Make up
- Bag for dirty laundry
- Assorted snacks
- Water and juice (not orange juice)
- Spectacles and/or contact lenses inc. liquid container
- Outfit to wear home
- Mp4 player or radio
- Phone Charger
